About you as Head of Engineering and Health & Safety
- An experienced Engineering leader from large hotel
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, fire safety and compliance requirements
- A hands-on problem solver who can balance operational priorities with long-term planning
- A confident leader who can motivate teams and build strong relationships across the hotel
- Experience managing contractors, projects, budgets and maintenance programmes
- Calm under pressure with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and unexpected issues
Key responsibilities of Head of Engineering and Health & Safety
- Leading all engineering and maintenance operations across the hotel
- Driving preventative maintenance programmes to keep the property in excellent condition
- Taking ownership of health & safety, fire safety and statutory compliance
- Leading risk assessments, audits, emergency response planning and accident investigations
- Managing contractors, suppliers and service partners to ensure quality and compliance
- Overseeing departmental budgets, capital projects and energy-saving initiatives
- Developing and inspiring the Engineering team through coaching, training and leadership
- Working closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to support hotel operations
