Located in the heart of Broadway High Street, The Lygon Arms is a lively, historic hotel with 86 bedrooms, busy dining outlets, and a public-facing reception welcoming both residents and non-residents throughout the day. We’re looking for a calm, capable and switched‑on Receptionist who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑footfall environment and enjoys being right at the centre of the action.
The role: This is a busy, multitasking reception where no two moments are the same. You’ll regularly be:
- Welcoming guests arriving from the High Street
- Handling check‑ins, check‑outs, phone calls and enquiries at the same time
- Supporting non‑resident dining guests and visitors
- Thinking on your feet and making sound decisions quickly
- Using hotel systems confidently and accurately
- Remaining calm, polite and professional, even at peak times
You’ll be supported by a stable, experienced team and a Reception Manager who is kind, hands‑on, and fully invested in training and looking after her team, especially when the desk is busy.
About you:
- Experience in a busy hotel, reception or customer‑facing environment
- Confident using computers and booking systems
- Naturally calm, polite and professional under pressure
- Comfortable dealing with guests from all over the world
- Organised, observant and quick‑thinking
- A strong team player who supports colleagues during busy shifts
