This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse to take on a senior clinical role within a high-performing healthcare environment, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care. You will play a key role in leading shifts, providing clinical guidance to junior colleagues, and deputising for clinical leaders where required. We are looking for a SACT qualified nurse with the relevant professional registration, strong clinical competence, and experience within a specialist or acute care setting.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, the ability to manage complex patient needs, and a proactive approach to safety, governance, and continuous improvement. You will be a compassionate and resilient professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong organisational and teamwork skills, and is committed to delivering high-quality care while supporting the development of others.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide advanced, evidence-based and patient-centred specialist nursing care for patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT), including assessment, care coordination, symptom management and treatment evaluation for complex cancer care needs.
- Support the safe, efficient and effective delivery of oncology services through clinical leadership, professional guidance, education and mentoring of nursing staff and students.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, service development and a culture of excellence, while demonstrating organisational values, behaviours and professional standards.
- Develop specialist expertise in radiation oncology, building competence in the assessment, education, support and management of patients receiving radiation therapy.
