This is a unique opportunity for a qualified and motivated Radiographer to play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-centred radiotherapy services within a specialist cancer centre. You will work across treatment, planning, and pre-treatment areas, delivering advanced radiotherapy techniques while supporting continuous service improvement, audit, and training initiatives. We are looking for a HCPC-registered professional with a BSc in Radiotherapy, strong technical expertise across radiotherapy techniques (including IGRT), and a solid understanding of IR(ME)R Regulations.
The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills, the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced and emotionally demanding environment, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach. You will thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate strong organisational skills, and show a commitment to ongoing professional development, and maintaining the highest clinical and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver safe, accurate, and high-quality radiotherapy treatments, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, IR(ME)R regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Support day-to-day departmental operations, including patient workflow, equipment checks, documentation, and collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide excellent patient care, including communication, education, and support, recognising and managing treatment-related side effects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through audit, training, protocol development, and maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge competencies.

Location: Icon UK are proud to be opening a Cancer Centre in Newcastle. The facility is custom-built and will provide state of the art oncology services to our patients.
