We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Clinical Trial Payments Specialist to manage and optimise payment processes across clinical studies. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely execution of site, vendor, and participant payments while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Manage and execute site, participant, and vendor payments in line with Clinical Trial Agreements, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Accurately record payment transactions in relevant electronic systems.
- Prepare and process payment requests using systems such as Smart Grant (or equivalent), ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) aligned with contract values in collaboration with SSU Trial Managers, CTAs, and Trial Managers.
- Track and monitor payment status, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain up‑to‑date payment records following contract amendments and signed annexes.
- Support oversight of payment and invoicing activities by providing documentation to Clinical Trial Associates (CTAs).
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing payment optimisation processes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline required.
- 1–3 years of experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical/biotech environments, or financial operations, preferably within a global setting.
- Experience managing payment processes within clinical research or pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial payment structures and familiarity with investigator/site contracts.
- Proficient in using electronic payment systems and digital tools, with a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
