Earn £45,000–£75,000+ | Uncapped Bonus | Build Your Career with an Established Engineering Company and Help Drive Our Next Stage of Growth

Looking for a sales role where your success is truly rewarded?

Icon Engineering (Wisbech) Ltd , we're not just selling products—we design, manufacture and install bespoke stainless steel engineering solutions that keep some of the UK's leading food manufacturers moving.

We're looking for an ambitious, driven Sales Engineer who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and closing deals.

If you're motivated by uncapped earnings, enjoy speaking with customers and want to be part of a growing business where your contribution genuinely matters, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join Icon Engineering?

For over 30 years, Icon Engineering has built an outstanding reputation for designing and manufacturing high-quality stainless steel equipment for the food manufacturing industry.

Everything is completed in-house—from design and CAD drawings to fabrication, machining, installation and servicing—giving us complete control over quality and allowing us to deliver bespoke solutions that our customers rely on.

As demand continues to grow, we're expanding our sales team to help take the business to the next level.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a quoting role.

Working closely with our design and engineering teams, you'll become a trusted advisor to customers, helping them find practical engineering solutions while developing long‑term relationships that generate repeat business.

Your role will include

  • Developing relationships with existing customers.
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities.
  • Visiting prospective and existing customers when required.
  • Working with our design team to create tailored engineering solutions.
  • Preparing accurate quotations and following them through to successful orders.
  • Growing sales within the food manufacturing sector while helping expand into new industries.
  • Becoming a key part of the company's future growth.

Following your induction and probation period, you'll work towards realistic, achievable sales targets with an uncapped bonus structure that genuinely rewards success.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in talented salespeople—not just engineering specialists.

If you've built a successful career in sales, we'd like to hear from you, regardless of the industry you've worked in.

You'll ideally have

  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence speaking with customers at all levels.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to spot opportunities and turn enquiries into orders.

Experience with Auto CAD or Solid Works would be an advantage, but full product training will be provided.

  • What You'll Get
  • Competitive basic salary (£25,000-£55,000 depending on experience).
  • Uncapped bonus with realistic earnings of £20,000+ per year.
  • Genuine career progression within a growing engineering business.
  • Full product and industry training.
  • Support from an experienced design and engineering team.
  • The opportunity to work on exciting bespoke engineering projects rather than selling standard catalogue products.
  • Monday-Friday working hours with no weekend work.
  • Company pension
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Additional day annual leave for every 5 years of continuous service

Ready to Build Your Future?

If you're ambitious, enjoy winning new business and want to work for a respected engineering company where your effort directly impacts your earnings, we'd love to hear from you.

We understand that changing careers is a significant decision. Rest assured that all applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
