Icon Engineering (Wisbech) Ltd , we design and manufacture bespoke stainless steel machinery and material handling systems for customers across a wide range of industries.
Every project is different, meaning you'll be challenged, develop new skills, and see your work come to life from concept through to installation.
We're looking for a practical, motivated
Multiskilled Engineer/Technician who enjoys variety and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
If you're electrically biased but also enjoy getting involved in mechanical engineering, machining and problem-solving, we'd love to hear from you.
- What You'll Be Doing
- You’ll work as part of our engineering team, with responsibilities including:
- Building, assembling and testing conveyors, elevators and bespoke machinery.
- Designing and building electrical control panels.
- Wiring, fault-finding and commissioning equipment.
- PLC programming and electrical modifications.
- Producing electrical drawings using Auto CAD.
- Manual and CNC machining on lathes and milling machines.
- Supporting on-site installations and commissioning when required.
What We're Looking For
Ideally you’ll have
- A time-served electrical engineering background.
- Experience building and wiring electrical control panels.
- PLC programming experience.
- Auto CAD experience.
- Basic machining and general engineering knowledge.
- Some pneumatic experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
What We Offer
Up to £25.00 per hour , depending on experience.
- Monday-Friday working hours (7:30am-4:00pm).
- Regular overtime opportunities.
- Overtime paid at
- 1.5x , with
2x pay on Sundays and during unsociable hours.
£2.10 per hour on-site allowance when working away.
- 22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
- An extra day's holiday for every five years' service (uncapped).
- Company pension.
- A varied role where no two projects are the same.
