As a Site Contracts Negotiator II at ICON, you will independently manage the negotiation and execution of clinical trial agreements (CTAs) and budgets with UK investigator sites across a range of clinical studies. You will work closely with sites and internal stakeholders to support efficient, compliant, and timely study start-up.
What You Will Do:
- Contribute to site contract management activities, taking ownership of your deliverables while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Negotiate clinical trial agreements (CTAs) and study budgets with UK investigator sites, ensuring alignment with sponsor requirements and applicable guidelines.
- Build effective relationships with site contracts teams, research offices, and key stakeholders to support successful negotiations.
- Review and adapt contract language to reflect sponsor requirements, local regulations, and site feedback.
- Manage a portfolio of contracts, monitoring negotiation timelines, identifying risks, and proactively addressing barriers to execution.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Clinical Operations, and Project teams to resolve contractual queries and ensure alignment.
- Maintain accurate records of negotiations, approvals, and executed agreements within relevant systems.
- Support continuous improvement of contract templates, processes, and guidance, and share knowledge with colleagues where appropriate.
Your Profile:
You will bring relevant site contracting experience, with a strong understanding of UK clinical trial agreements and budget negotiations.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience negotiating clinical trial agreements and budgets directly with UK investigator sites within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare environment.
- Good understanding of UK site contracting processes, CTA requirements, and clinical trial budget negotiation principles.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and timelines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
