We build and operate automated factories for composite materials, delivering components to Tier 1 and OEMs. The business has three main divisions: development of automated production machines, development of software design and production tools, and operation of the factory. Currently working with over 25 customers, including multiple leading OEMs, and having completed the largest Series A funding in composites manufacturing earlier this year, we are scaling rapidly with plans to expand into Europe and the US over the next 2-3 years. Role Overview
The Head of Business Development - Defence will lead and manage iCOMAT's defence sector business development activities. This includes strategic planning, business development, and overseeing defence-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong defence background and exceptional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic revenue growth within the defence sector by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the defence sector aligned with iCOMAT's overall objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs and government stakeholders, understanding market needs such as localisation of production.
- Lead efforts to secure new defence industry opportunities.
- Oversee defence project execution, ensuring timely, within budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Gather market analysis and competitive intelligence within the defence ecosystem to inform strategy.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and government agencies.
- Provide leadership and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the defence team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to keep iCOMAT at the forefront of defence technology.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant defence regulations and standards.
