Overview
As Production Planner and Logistics Coordinator at i COMAT, you will own the master production schedule and the material flow for two factories.
You ensure capacity and material availability, sequencing, and on-time delivery while coordinating with internal teams and the Buyer.
You drive data integrity in planning systems and optimize inventory, stores, and logistics.

Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule capacity and material support for promised delivery dates across Gloucester and Swindon
- Own the master production schedule and sequence work for optimal asset use
- Generate works orders from MRP and ensure proper routing for production
- Distribute daily/weekly Work to List and monitor adherence
- Load capacity into MRP to reveal constraints weeks ahead
- Regenerate MRP on a fixed cycle and act on the outputs
- Plan around planned absences, shutdowns and maintenance windows
- Maintain planning data accuracy: routings, work centres, times, lead times, BOMs and stocking levels
- Collaborate to refine routings into real operations and ensure single source of truth in orders
- Represent operations in ERP development, including testing and training
- Manage goods receipt, stock booking, stores and kitting, and shelf-life control
- Own and optimise vendor managed inventory and inbound deliveries
- Schedule calls and inbound deliveries against supplier agreements
- Coordinate movement of parts between sites and through subcontract processes
- Oversee dispatch, packaging, carriers, freight, export docs, and on-time delivery
- Provide weekly schedule adherence, OTIF, capacity, labour, and stock accuracy reports
- Flag potential slips early with recovery plans and coordinate cross-functional alignment
- Key requirements
- Proven production planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing
- Strong ERP/MRP planning and scheduling knowledge; hands-on with routings, work centres and MRP
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, times, routings and capacity
- Practical stores, stock control and inventory accuracy experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven approach
- Accuracy under pressure; ability to defend numbers and adjust plans purposefully
- Clear, direct communication with cross-functional teams and customers
- Ability to manage priorities across two sites and travel UK-wide
