Role Overview

We are looking to expand our pool of experienced IT, AV, and Network Cabling Engineers in Europe. This role involves attending various sites to handle a range of tasks, from minor hardware break-fixes, racking and stacking and structured cabling installations. The work could take place within live commercial offices and data-centres, so engineers must be comfortable working in customer-facing settings and maintaining a high level of professional conduct.

Project Scope & Tasks:

The work is varied and assigned on an ad-hoc basis as and when required. Common tasks include:

  • Standard IT Support: Hardware break-fixes and troubleshooting.
  • Device Replacements: Replacing IT and AV equipment.
  • Network Infrastructure: Rack and stack of network switches and hardware migrations.
  • Cabling Works: Data cable installations, Cat6a terminations, and patching.
  • WAP Services: Installations and migrations of Wireless Access Points.
  • Site Surveys: Documenting requirements for future installations.

Requirements

To be considered for these opportunities, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Local Residency: You must already reside within the country where the work is advertised. We are not looking for candidates who need to relocate for this role.
  • Language: Ability to communicate in English is essential.
  • Health & Safety: You must be familiar with basic Health & Safety practises.
  • Professional Appearance: Engineers are required to wear dark, unbranded clothing and safety boots.

Tools Required:

  • General: Basic hand tools (screwdrivers, combi drills, etc.) for break-fix tasks.
  • Specialist: For cabling projects, you must have your own termination tools for Cat6a, cabling rods, cutters, labelling machine, modtap/ cable tester, and consumables (velcro/tape).
