Role
We are seeking to hire a team of hourly paid lecturers to deliver on the BA in Web programme.
We are looking to build a pool of industry practitioners and educators who can demonstrate current experience and a commitment to supporting the development of creative professionals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on the BA in Web programme to undergraduate students at varied levels.
- Engage and connect with students through current industry practices.
- Demonstrate high-quality teaching practice and contribute to the delivery of further or higher education programmes.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the current Web industry and ability to engage students across undergraduate levels.
- Credible professional/industry profile and evidence of high-quality teaching practice.
- Experience in the delivery of further or higher education programmes.
- A degree in a relevant discipline is expected.
- Teaching and/or postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Essential Technical Skills: Proficiency across a range of web and software development technologies, including:
- HTML
- CSS (including frameworks like SCSS)
- JavaScript
- PHP
- Java
- Key Development Concepts & Tools:
- REST APIs
- SQL (for database management)
- MVC Architecture
- Mobile Development
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Desirable: Python and AI
