SERAC Ice Plant is seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to support the day-to-day production of packaged ice. The role involves cutting, handling, and packing ice products while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety. This is a part-time position suitable for someone looking for flexible work of up to 16 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Cutting ice blocks into required sizes using designated equipment
- Packing ice into bags and containers according to production requirements
- Labelling and preparing finished ice products for storage or distribution
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the production and packing areas
- Following all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Monitoring product quality and reporting any issues to supervisors
- Assisting with stock movement and storage in cold environments
- Supporting general production tasks as required
Requirements
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions in English
- Comfortable working in cold environments
- Ability to handle manual tasks and lift moderate weights
