As our Communications Officer, you'll be:

  • Website and CMS management: Manage day-to-day website updates, including creating, editing, formatting, publishing, and archiving content. Work with colleagues across ICMM to gather, review, and update website content so that it remains accurate, accessible, timely, and aligned with organisational priorities. Support the development of new pages, landing pages, campaign hubs, and content journeys, applying good practice in web writing, accessibility, SEO, and user experience. Help maintain clear site structures, metadata, tagging, links, documents, images, and other digital assets.
  • Social media and channel management: Support the planning, drafting, scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and reporting of content across ICMM’s social media channels. Develop platform-appropriate social content, including copy, visual assets, short-form video concepts, social cards, campaign posts, and paid social variations. Bring creative thinking to the development of digital content, using audience insight, channel trends, and performance data to test new formats, messages, and approaches that help ICMM reach and engage priority audiences. Maintain a consistent tone of voice across channels while adapting content appropriately for different audiences and platforms. Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and relevant conversations, escalating reputational, policy, or stakeholder issues where needed.
  • Content planning and calendars: Develop and maintain forward-looking content calendars across website, social media, campaigns, events, publications, and key external moments. Work with policy, programme, communications, and leadership colleagues to identify upcoming content needs and translate priorities into planned digital activity. Coordinate timelines for content production, review, approval, scheduling, and publication. Coordinate paid social activity with ICMM’s external agency partner, including sharing briefs and assets, managing feedback, tracking spend, and gathering performance information.
  • Analytics, reporting, and optimisation: Use analytics tools to monitor website and social media performance, including traffic, engagement, reach, referrals, search visibility, and user behaviour. Use evidence from analytics, search data, social insights, and user behaviour to recommend improvements to content, structure, formats, and publishing schedules. Support SEO improvements, including page titles, descriptions, headings, links, image descriptions, and content structure. Help evaluate digital campaigns and content activity against agreed objectives.
