Our client is a well-established leader in the field of gas detection technology, delivering high-performance fixed and portable systems to industrial and research clients across the UK and internationally. As the business continues to grow, they are now looking to appoint a talented Gas Detection Instrumentation Engineer / Service Engineer Commercial Gas to support their expanding operations.

This is a hands-on, technically focused position ideal for someone with a background in instrumentation, electronics, or commercial gas detection. You will play a key role in the installation, servicing, and calibration of specialist gas detection systems. While full training will be provided, prior relevant experience would be highly advantageous. Based primarily at the company's site, the role may also involve client visits and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, servicing, and calibration of gas detection equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and performing minor repairs, including basic wiring and soldering
  • Reading and interpreting technical documentation and manuals
  • Producing accurate service reports, calibration certificates, and records
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in a professional manner

  • A degree, HND, or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
