Join a 170-Year Food Story and Help Shape Its Future! My client is not just another food business. With a heritage dating back to 1852, they are a respected purveyor of fine ingredients and innovative product collaborations, trusted by food manufacturers, retailers, and chefs around the world. They are globally established, ambitious in the UK, and growing.

They are now looking for an energetic, detail-driven Quality / Technical professional to join their London team, someone who wants real ownership, real exposure, and the opportunity to make a visible impact in a scaling business. This is not a sit in the corner and file paperwork QA role. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position where you will be at the heart of food safety, supplier assurance, customer technical queries and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Quality Manager and wider commercial team, you will:

  • Maintain and develop the Food Safety & Quality Management System
  • Support and actively contribute to HACCP programs
  • Ensure compliant product release and accurate technical documentation
  • Investigate non-conformances and identify root causes
  • Assist with supplier and service provider assurance programs
  • Support customer technical queries and complaints
  • Participate in internal and third-party audits (including BRCGS where applicable)
  • Help drive continuous improvement across processes and documentation

You will act as a key technical support contact for Account Managers and internal stakeholders, balancing compliance with commercial awareness. In short: you will help protect the integrity of a premium food brand.

Why This Role Is Exciting

Work for a 170-year heritage food business with a modern growth mindset. Be part of a close-knit, passionate family of foodies in this 5th generation family run business. Gain exposure across supply chain, procurement, product development and sales. Play a visible role in audit readiness and quality improvements. Grow with a UK business that has strong international foundations. This is an ideal step for someone early in their food technical career who wants responsibility, ownership and progression.

About You

A Food Science (or related) qualification. At least 1 year’s experience in the food industry. Knowledge of HACCP principles. Exposure to GFSI-recognised schemes (BRCGS desirable). Strong documentation and organisational skills. Confidence working cross-functionally. The ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively. A proactive, improvement-focused mindset. Most importantly, you will care about doing things properly.

The Culture

My client works hard but they enjoy what they do. They value:

  • Passion for food
  • Strong communication
  • Initiative
  • Accountability
  • Team spirit

If you enjoy working with people who take pride in their work and want to be part of something with both history and ambition, this could be a brilliant move.
