We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and label medication containers in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Maintain organised stock levels, including ordering and stock rotation
- Support patients with over-the-counter products and answer basic queries about medications
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations
- Support medication administration processes under supervision where applicable
- Provide excellent patient care by offering friendly assistance and information as needed
- Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare role is desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment
- A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including some weekends or evenings if necessary
