We're looking for a passionate and experienced Site Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team here at ICL Boulby. As the backbone of our operations, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our mine and surface assets.
About the role
- The successful candidate will hold the pivotal role of Appointed Mine Electrical Engineer, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry regulations.
- Set and enforce engineering standards to guarantee the safe and productive operation of our assets.
- Spearhead the identification and implementation of best practices to optimise operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and support to our operational teams.
- Stay ahead of the curve by continually exploring and integrating new technologies and practices.
- Lead capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and financial requirements.
About you
- You must be experienced with all aspects of electrical equipment within the mining, tunnelling, and civil industries.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques to improve machine reliability.
- Extensive knowledge of 'The Mines Regulations 2014 and Industry Regulations'.
- Experienced in HV distribution and systems.
Qualifications:
- You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or a Member of Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) or Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IM3) or another relevant institution.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- I.E.T Regulations BS7671.
- Safety Auditing.
