GreenBest is a dynamic and ambitious manufacturing company that supplies fertilisers and other related products to the amenity turf market (golf courses, football pitches, bowling greens, lawncare and municipal areas). GreenBest recently became a member of the ICL Group of chemical & fertilizer businesses.

The Role

If this sounds like you; GreenBest is seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a solid understanding and a proven track record in maintenance of buildings, services, and equipment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be integral to our operations, ensuring that our facilities run smoothly and safely.
The successful candidate must be based within Somerset and/or within commutable distance to the site in Henstridge.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Proactively identify and address maintenance needs where required.
- Maintenance Execution: Be capable of performing mechanical and electrical fitting/repairs, or modifications.
- Contractor Engagement: Liaise with external contractors to ensure quality and efficiency in maintenance tasks and supply of equipment or parts.
- Improvement Projects: Actively participate in the continuous improvement of projects onsite.
- Compliance and Safety: Part of the health and safety team, maintaining compliance with safety standards whilst driving change.
- Inventory and Procurement: Maintenance stock inventory administration, ordering of spare parts for machines and equipment, and source quotes for maintenance supplies.
- Equipment Management: Conduct daily/weekly inspections and maintain and review maintenance check sheets.
- Implementation: Implementation of improvement standards and tools to drive the business.
- Ensure safe operations and compliance with internal and external safety, environmental, and legislative requirements with hazard identification and risk management.
The Person
Strong ability to communicate business and departmental objectives, fostering an informed and engaged team culture with the ability to communicate in detail with people at all levels.
Support the engagement and interaction with suppliers and Contractors
Ability to hold a technical discussion as part of improvement projects – Advising whilst providing a Maintenance and Engineering viewpoint
Ability to communicate and maintain records for improvement projects and planned preventative maintenance
The Requirements
- You must hold a recognised operational qualification or an apprenticeship in maintenance.
- At least 5 Years of Experience in a Multiskilled Engineering environment
- Recognised Safety Qualification with clear awareness of H&S principles within an associated industry.
- Experience of implantation of industry standards for H&S, PPMs, Engineering Record Keeping
- Highly flexible, adaptable, and committed.
