As a member of the HR team, you will work closely with the HR Manager and Head of HR to provide operational HR support primarily to ICL Boulby but also to support with the UK other entities when required and be a key individual driving continuous improvement in the HR Service Delivery within the UK.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Advisor to support our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing HR documentation, assisting with recruitment processes, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
You will be customer focused with a high level of interaction with employees and supporting our shared service team with HRIS administration in Success Factors.
The Key Responsibilities:-
- Assist in managing employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances and absence management.
- Support with HR policy and procedure development to increase morale and drive performance.
- Manage the onboarding processes.
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, offer letters, and policy updates.
- Support payroll processing by verifying timekeeping information.
- Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Ensure compliance with labour regulations and internal policies.
- Assist with performance management procedures and employee evaluations.
The Must-Haves
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR.
- Experienced in working within a high hazard environment driven by Safety first.
The Nice-to-Haves
- Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified or hold a relevant degree.
