Provides on-site emergency medical assistance as required, within EMT scope of practice and performs duties of a Public Safety Officer.
Responsibilities
- Maintains EMT equipment to ensure a constant state of EMT response readiness.
- Responds to requests for medical assistance.
- Performs thorough patient assessments in accordance with EMT protocols.
- Administers appropriate treatment within EMT Scope of Practice.
- Initiates requests for Advanced Life Support as needed.
- Interacts with ALS personnel and provides seamless interface at transfer of patient care.
- Provides comprehensive documentation of incident contact on PCR and computer data entry.
- Maintains personal skill level through participation with in-service training programs.
- Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor in interaction with guests and fellow Team Members.
- Serves as a technician by collecting/processing urine samples for drug testing in accordance with policy/procedures.
- Performs public safety officer duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, visitor escorts to Tribal Gaming Agency and handling lost and found items.
- Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Prior EMT experience is preferred.
- Current California State Emergency Medical Technician certification.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Required to pass EMT Skills Evaluation Patient Assessment.
- Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
