Investment excellence will be at the heart of your storytelling, as you work with us to raise awareness of ICG in the 20+ global locations in which we have a local presence and forge critical, long-standing relationships with our clients, shareholders and other stakeholders.
Summary of our opportunity:
- You will join an established, agile, highly collaborative, performance-driven and impactful Corporate Affairs team of nine as it begins to implement its refreshed strategy, five years on from its establishment.
- The role’s geographic focus is global, focused on the 20+ countries in which we have a local presence.
- Key stakeholders internally are ICG’s investment teams, Client Solutions Group, Shareholder Relations, Corporate Development, and Compliance.
- You will be based primarily in our London office on Ludgate Circus near St Paul’s.
The role will either be at Analyst or Associate level, depending on the experience, capability and career achievements-to-date of the successful candidate.
An outline framework for each role:
- Analyst: Builds knowledge and expertise. Provides an emerging level of technical expertise in their work process area to support others. May supervise or coordinate a sub-project in providing a variety of support services.
- Associate: Provides a variety of support services; many occasionally manage one or two others, but usually acts as an individual contributor, using a practical level of knowledge to support relevant projects/initiatives.
Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Research, create and edit written and visual content in collaboration with ICG colleagues, creative agencies and external stakeholders.
- Publish content to ICG’s internal communications platforms and its external owned and shared channels.
- Measure, monitor and optimise content and channel performance, both for key human audiences and artificial intelligence.
- Build connections and working relationships with colleagues across ICG, which will enable you to deliver efficiently and effectively.
- If you are not from a private markets background, you will apply your energy and intelligence to learning about and understanding the spaces within which we operate, as well as the opportunities and challenges ICG and its peers face.
- Applicants from a private markets background will find that there is ample room to grow at ICG.
- Aside from your core responsibilities, you will contribute as required to the work of the wider ICG Corporate Affairs team, across client communications, media relations, public affairs, events, awards and issues management – this will provide you with a breadth and depth of experience, aiding your career growth and goals.

Associate level:
- Contribute to a positive work environment and demonstrate a more matured approach in their attitude and work ethic.
- Demonstrate a solid, developing understanding of applicable governance, compliance, risk policies and procedures and escalate breaches appropriately.
- Generate ideas on improving the effectiveness of processes, applications and techniques both within the Digital and Content area, and Corporate Affairs more widely.
- Informally mentor Analysts or Graduates around the business.
- Manage interns, freelancers, agencies and consultancies, to ensure we are effectively using such resources, budgets and relationships, both in the short and long term.
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
- Excellent written and spoken English, coupled with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to think critically, be a self-starter, grasp the bigger picture and apply good judgement.
- A team player who is equally comfortable working alone.
- Intermediate ability to use and manipulate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate Microsoft Copilot 365 or similar AI LLM skills.
- Intermediate Wordpress, FirstUp, SharePoint or similar web or intranet content management experience.
- Use of social media in a professional environment, ideally at organisation level as well as advising others’ individual use.
- Basic Adobe Photoshop, Creative Cloud, Premier Pro and Acrobat Pro or similar creative software.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- Analyst: 2-5 years of experience in a communications or corporate affairs role, either in a global business, agency/consultancy, government or charity environment.
- Associate: 4-10 years of experience as above.
- An undergraduate degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
- A team player with strong organisation skills, ability to multi-task demonstrating exceptional level of attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a PR agency.
- Formal training within the field of AI.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry such as financial services.
- Experience working as a journalist, editor, producer or broadcaster, possibly within a university media outlet.
