Role Overview
A full-time position, to support the Divisional Finance Director in the financial management of the Property Management Division. The successful individual will be the finance lead for the Property Management side of the business with revenue of c £130m (combined divisional total of c £340m).

  • Prepare, interpret, interrogate and present financial information to relevant stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationships with all key stakeholders (including Head of Division, department heads, other divisional Finance members and central finance).
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts in conjunction with each team head
  • Prepare detailed income forecasts with each team working with the Billings Team
  • Prepare a detailed cost plan with each Department and assist with the management of that plan
  • Prepare ad hoc business plans and appraisals for any growth initiative/recruitment
  • Present financial information at relevant team meetings
  • Manage the billings and arrears team (5 heads) based in Manchester and deliver metrics on performance; expectation of monthly visits to Manchester or other offices
  • Regularly attend team meetings to gain an insight into operations/performance and offer financial guidance and advice
  • Assist the Divisional Finance Director in the annual remuneration process for the division
  • Provide a liaison between the Cambridge Central Finance team and the business
  • Form a close working relationship with the HR Business Partner and collaborate with them on all staffing matters including joiners, leavers and remuneration changes
  • Develop a full understanding of all finance and business systems and consider improvements to systems and processes
  • Manage accruals, prepayments and other GL entries, as well as the bad debt provision
  • Calculate interest receivable and payable and liaise with Savills plc on the forecasting of net interest

Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Good analytical skills assessing data sets
  • Clear communication skills both written and oral
  • Merger & Acquisition experience
  • Ability to work with people from different European countries where English is not their first language
  • Ability to build relationships with business leaders
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise
  • Attention to detail
  • Helpful attitude and approach demonstrating sensitivity, discretion and diplomacy
  • Excellent IT skills both in using and understanding systems and databases
  • Residential property market experience preferred
  • D365 F&O knowledge would be helpful
