Overview
As Analyst (Economist) at ICF, you contribute to high-quality economic analyses for UK public sector projects. You will join the growing PRES team to expand economic evaluation, VfM analysis, and bespoke studies that inform policy, appraisal, and investment decisions. You work within multidisciplinary teams on issues like growth, energy, and regulation, delivering results that shape policy and public outcomes. You will develop your skills through training and peer communities while operating in an internationally diverse environment. Responsibilities
- Undertake economic analysis supporting policy research and evaluation
- Support delivery of economic evaluation, VfM / 5Es analysis, cost-benefit analysis and bespoke economic studies
- Analyse quantitative datasets and evidence
- Communicate findings clearly
- Work within multidisciplinary teams
- Support development of ICF's economics capability
Key requirements
- Degree in economics or quantitative discipline
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven track record in contributing to consulting assignments, economic/VfM evaluations, and/or other economic analysis projects
- Experience gained in consulting, government, a regulatory agency, academia, or the private sector
