Job Summary

Assists Lead Installer to install HVAC units for customers. Cleans jobsite and loads truck for jobs daily. Assists in staging and completing jobs as directed.

Schedule: M-F 730am-4:30pm (overtime as needed/available)

Starting Wage: $22.88-$25.74 p/h (depending on experience, qualifications)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Installer with full residential HVAC system installations including furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps, condensers, ductless systems, ductwork modifications, venting, and condensate systems.
  • Perform physically demanding installation tasks such as carrying equipment, setting units, drilling, cutting sheet metal, running line sets, and securing materials.
  • Arrive prepared and on time with required hand tools, drills, and metal snips for every job.
  • Properly stage tools, materials, and equipment to keep installs efficient and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
  • Follow installation standards, manufacturer requirements, and company quality expectations without shortcuts.
  • Take direction from the Lead Installer and apply feedback immediately.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners while on site—no sales responsibilities.
  • Assist with job documentation and job close-out tasks.
  • Attend mandatory safety meetings, training sessions, and team meetings.
  • Perform other installation-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Expectations

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform physical labor daily.
  • Ability to safely and confidently use hand tools, power drills, and metal snips.
  • Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and confined spaces in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record—this role requires consistency.
  • Ability to follow instructions, accept coaching, and work as part of a crew.
  • High attention to detail and pride in doing the job right the first time.
  • Professional attitude, appearance, and communication on customer job sites.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least two years related experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

  • Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying.
  • Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around gas lines, around fumes and toxic chemicals, indoors and outdoors.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
