As Senior Director, Legal Advisory, you will serve as a trusted advisor to legal executives, helping organizations transform contracting, risk management, compliance, and business performance through Contract Intelligence and AI-driven solutions.
Working closely with Sales, Solution Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Success, you will drive business growth, influence product strategy, and strengthen Icertis' market leadership.
As a key member of the Legal Advisory team, you will help establish best practices and shape the future of this growing global function.
This role does not include people management responsibilities and can be based in the UK (hybrid from our London office) or anywhere in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to General Counsel, CLOs, and Legal Operations leaders on contract transformation, legal innovation, and AI-driven contract intelligence.
- Lead executive-level discussions, workshops, and briefings on legal transformation, contract intelligence, governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Represent Icertis as a legal thought leader through industry events, webinars, customer engagements, and market-facing activities.
- Partner with Sales and Solution Engineering to support strategic enterprise opportunities, drive deal success, and accelerate revenue growth.
- Develop compelling business cases that demonstrate the value, ROI, and business impact of Icertis Contract Intelligence and AI solutions.
- Provide legal domain expertise throughout the sales cycle, including customer requirements, solution design, best practices, and RFP responses.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to influence product strategy, AI innovation, and roadmap priorities based on customer and market insights.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across Sales, Marketing, Services, Customer Success, and external industry stakeholders to strengthen Icertis' market leadership and customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Law degree; active or previous legal practice experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in legal technology, legal operations, enterprise software, consulting, or corporate legal environments.
- Deep expertise in contract lifecycle management (CLM), commercial contracting, governance, compliance, risk management, and legal operations best practices.
- Proven ability to engage and advise General Counsel, CLOs, Legal Operations leaders, and other senior legal stakeholders on complex legal and business challenges.
- Strong understanding of legal transformation, process improvement, and the application of technology and AI within legal organizations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with experience influencing executive and C-suite audiences.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to build value propositions, ROI models, and strategic roadmaps that connect legal initiatives to business outcomes.
- Passion for AI and innovation, combined with the ability to collaborate across global teams and travel as needed for customer engagements and industry events.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across EMEA and internationally for customer engagements, industry events, and internal collaboration.
