PROJECT ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join our cryogenic engineering team.

This role is responsible for managing the technical and critical success factors of projects throughout their full lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to delivery.

You will play a key role in detailed project planning, the design and development of cryogenic equipment, and the coordination of internal and external teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

The role also involves providing technical leadership on R&D initiatives, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring customer requirements are fully understood and met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the technical/critical success factors of any given project for its lifetime within the company.
  • In depth planning of projects.
  • Design of cryogenic equipment, or working closely with a design team, drawing checking.
  • Technical input and management of R&D projects, co-ordination of teams.
  • Customer service and communications, understanding of customer requirement.
  • Driving the project (projects) to plan.
  • Assisting the sales function with technical specifications for tender documentation when required.
  • Understanding and involvement (where required) with test and installation department.
  • Using, designing and developing processes to enhance products and improve the company performance.

The CAD platform used is CREO, with an integrated PDM system for project management.

The role requires extensive 3D modelling experience and the ability to produce detailed drawings quickly and accurately.

You will hold a Physics or Engineering degree and have product engineering experience within an R&D or scientific environment.

You will also have experience in the use of cryogenics equipment and a working knowledge of cryogenic system design.
