About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves leading quality initiatives across production, supply chain, and design functions. You will be instrumental in driving our quality processes, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with industry standards as we scale our technology business.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain: Work with the supply chain team to ensure a thorough supplier selection process is implemented. Improve and undertake Iceotope’s goods in inspection process. Collaborate with suppliers (e.g., PCB manufacturers, metal and plastic fabricators) to improve goods-out processes. Monitor supplier performance via KPIs and inspection reports. Ensure supplier adherence to product and environmental compliance standards.
  • Production: Create and implement industry standard quality management systems and documentation within Iceotope’s production to include QC forms, SOPs, Work instructions and in/end of line testing. Develop, implement and undertake methods of analysis for manufacturing and product quality both in the field and the production line. Support the development of clear work instructions for manufacturing. Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure quality processes are upheld. Prepare for and support factory audits from certification bodies.
  • Design and Testing: Collaborate with design engineers to ensure quality in part selection and design processes. Develop process and documentation to highlight any quality issues within new designs. Plan and sometimes complete appropriate testing of Iceotope parts and assemblies to ensure parts and product quality. Conduct root cause analysis on product failures using standard methodologies.
  • Compliance: Advise and implement on ISO 9001 process and documentation. Work with the Head of Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to ensure parts and products comply with the relevant standards (UL/ IEC 62368-1, UL 2416).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quality role.
