We’re seeking an innovative engineer with 8+ years’ experience in mechanical design, advanced CAD skills, and a proven track record taking products from concept to production. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, drive reliability and manufacturability, and mentor others in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment. Key Responsibilities
- Concept Generation & Feasibility: Collaborate closely with product managers and multidisciplinary teams to generate innovative concepts and quickly assess their feasibility through modelling and prototyping. Lead idea generation sessions and contribute to design reviews.
- Design Development & Validation: Characterise and optimise the structural performance of components and systems, identifying and addressing performance-limiting factors. Ensure all products comply with structural and regulatory requirements. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to achieve design objectives. Conduct design validation and analysis, including FEA and tolerance studies. Produce DFMEA to identify and mitigate design risks. Implement design validation plans and testing to ensure product function.
- Testing and Validation with Quality Assurance: Collaborate on developing test plans (such as thermal, mechanical, and lifecycle testing) to validate product reliability.
- Documentation & Communication: Prepare detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM). Present findings, recommendations, and technical reports to stakeholders.
- Project Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within project teams. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Liaise with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth product transition from design to production.
