As a Team Leader, you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for the time that you manage shifts.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maximise profit:
    • Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
    • Play an active role in your store to \”sell a £1 & save a £1\” to help drive sales.
    • Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
  2. Engage, develop & retain great people:
    • Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
    • Support team engagement in your store.
    • Play a part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
    • Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your own knowledge to support up-skilling the team.
  3. Doing the right processes and doing them right:
    • Complete any actions set for you by your line manager focusing on customer-facing areas.
    • Maintain a positive approach to service, both in store and at the doorstep, aiming to be the best place to shop.
    • Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
    • Contribute to providing the best digital service by implementing all \”One Best Way\” processes.
  4. Leadership:
    • Lead your team by being approachable and respectful.
    • Work enthusiastically with your team.
    • Hate waste and take action to reduce it.
    • Care about the business and our people by being considerate.

Experience in retail management or supervisory role is ideal but not essential. You should be able to communicate effectively, plan and organize shifts, provide constructive feedback, and set the pace for your team to deliver a great store.
