Compensation and Working Hours

£2 per hour supplement for time managing shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Maximise profit by delivering great availability for customers and driving sales through initiatives such as "sell a £1 & save a £1".
  • Deliver on all agreed actions set by your line manager and complete daily floor walk actions focusing on customer visibility.
  • Engage, develop, and retain great people by supporting the Talking Shop Rep, promoting team engagement, fostering an inclusive culture, and sharing knowledge to up-skill the team.
  • Follow and implement all cash handling, security policies, and "One Best Way" processes, and provide the best digital service.
  • Maintain a positive approach to service both in store and at the doorstep, aiming to be the best shopping place.
  • Lead with respect, enthusiasm, and consideration for customers and colleagues, taking action against waste and caring about the business and its people.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a retail management or supervisory role is ideal but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver store tasks effectively with all colleagues.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to manage the shift and utilise all team members.
  • Ability to provide balanced feedback that improves colleague performance.
  • Hands-on leadership to set the pace of the team during shifts for a great store experience.
