We’re now looking for a Management Accountant to join our Retail Finance team and play a key role in supporting our operational performance.
About The RoleAs a Management Accountant, you’ll be central to ensuring financial clarity and control across our retail operations. You will partner with store and head office teams, providing the insights they need to make confident, data‑driven decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing- Preparing periodic management accounts with insightful variance analysis for Finance Managers and operational teams.
- Producing accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting robust forecasts and budgets across retail store costs and head office functions.
- Creating and maintaining weekly reporting suites that help drive decision‑making across the business.
- Delivering analysis that explains cost variances and highlights opportunities to improve performance (at both a top‑down group level and a bottom‑up store level).
- Challenging, supporting, and partnering with teams to ensure financial accountability.
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad‑hoc projects and analysis as required.
We’re looking for someone who is analytical, curious, and commercially minded — someone who loves diving into numbers but can also see the bigger picture.
You Will Bring- Accountability for your work, paired with an inquisitive mindset.
- Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to add value through insight.
- Part‑qualified accountant status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) — desirable, not essential.
- A passion for improving processes and ways of working.
- Advanced Excel skills (essential).
- Experience with SQL / Azure (preferable).
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (advantageous).
