We are looking for two Lead Software Engineers to join our IT Department at Iceland Foods. As a Lead Developer, you will be the technical lead in one of our squads focused on the portfolio of Iceland websites, centred around React and SalesForce PWAKit. It is a varied job with a large hands-on development creating new features, building components our customers can interact with, creating tools and some developments to complement our Mobile Apps. You will work alongside product owners and business analysts to ensure that solutions and technologies used are aligned with the business' goals, aiding in planning development and timelines and providing valuable feedback to other business-oriented departments. You will also line manage and mentor a small team of developers, setting a positive example and helping them grow and progress professionally.
Responsibilities
- Work with fellow developers to deliver new enhancements and features.
- Carry out code reviews, delivering constructive feedback to improve the quality of code and developer knowledge within the team.
- Ensure the technical delivery of the tasks on the sprint to support the overarching sprint goals.
- Work with others to ensure the best solution is implemented.
- Understand the value of quality assurance through pair programming, unit testing and behavioural driven development.
- Line management and mentoring of other developers.
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure they are kept informed of progress or setbacks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing features and identify the source of issues.
Qualifications
- Understanding of eCommerce.
- Experience with Commerce Platforms, CMS tools.
- Any experience with Cloud computing, AWS, GCP, Azure.
