Your Role
As Head of Retail Media, you’ll lead the strategic and commercial development of Iceland’s omni‑channel retail media proposition, transforming retail assets and audience data into a premium media product. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of the retail media roadmap, income delivery and innovation agenda. Your immediate focus will be on embedding retail media into the trade plan and commercial calendar, moving beyond “business as usual” promotions to unlock incremental, high‑margin revenue through data‑led solutions. Working cross‑functionally across Category, Marketing, Trade Planning, Data, IT and Store Operations, you’ll act as the internal expert for retail media and digital transformation, ensuring Iceland stands out in a fast‑growing and competitive market.
What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Owning and delivering the retail media strategy across in-store and digital channels.
- Accountable for delivering significant net retail media and incremental commercial income.
- Commercialising audience data and customer insight into high-value media solutions.
- Launching and scaling new media formats, including DOOH (Digital Out of Home), digital signage and online placements.
- Leading senior negotiations with brand partners, agencies and media suppliers.
- Building and leading a high-performing retail media team.
- Delivering complex, multi-site and omni-channel media activations.
