We are searching for a committed and passionate Team Leader to join our growing business. As a Team Leader, you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for the time that you manage shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
- Play an active role in your store to “sell a £1 & save a £1” to help drive sales.
- Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
- Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
- Support team engagement in your store.
- Help create an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
- Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your own knowledge to support up‑skilling the team.
- Complete any actions set for you by your line manager from the daily floor walk, focusing on the customer view.
- Maintain a positive approach to service, both in store and at the doorstep, always aiming to be the best place to shop.
- Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
- Provide the best digital service by implementing all “One Best Way” processes.
- Lead by example: be approachable to customers, respectful toward colleagues, enthusiastic, waste‑aware, and considerate toward business and people.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in a retail management or supervisory role is ideal but not essential.
- Effective communication with every colleague to deliver store tasks on time.
- Planning and organising shifts, using all team members efficiently.
