The Shift Manager supports the management team to deliver consistent results and ensures the store is the best place to shop and work. They earn a £2 supplement for every hour that they shift manage the store.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management team to deliver consistent results and ensure the store remains the best place to shop and work.
  • Deliver on all agreed actions set by your line manager.
  • Engage, develop, and retain staff; support the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
  • Support team engagement and play a part in creating an inclusive culture.
  • Take a proactive approach to personal development and share knowledge to support up‑skilling of the team.
  • Complete any actions set by your line manager after the daily floor walk focusing on customer experience.
  • Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies and processes.
  • Implement all 'One Best Way' processes for digital service.
  • Lead the team, set pace during shift, provide balanced feedback, and be hands‑on to deliver a great store performance.
  • Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for customers and play an active role to 'sell a £1 & save a £1' to help drive sales.
