We are looking for a Work Measurement Analyst where you will be part of the Workforce Management team within the HR department to deliver accurate, robust measurement timings for in-store processes. Your work will enable our retail stores to operate effectively with the right level of labour, while optimising productivity. Please note this role is based near Chester, (Deeside).

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning the Measurements
    • Work closely with the team and central stakeholders to define measurement requirements
    • Create the plan and select the most appropriate work measurement methodology for each activity
    • Observe, review, and document in-store processes to fully understand the end-to-end task and capture all variables
  • Completing the Measurements
    • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure objectives and methodologies are clearly understood
    • Carry out in-store measurements using appropriate techniques (e.g. work study methods, activity sampling, video-based analysis)
    • Produce Labour Standards and calculate Basic Minute Values (BMVs) for defined processes and tasks
  • Analysing, validating and presenting the measurements
    • Validate and quality-check measurement results
    • Review differences in processes pre- and post-implementation, highlighting efficiencies or variances
    • Summarise findings clearly and present insights to stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment
  • Additional Activities
    • Conduct store visits for measurements, process audits and validation
    • Support continuous improvement in productivity and labour optimisation

  • Knowledge or practical experience of work measurement / work study methodologies such as MTM2
  • Background in productivity, industrial engineering, or workforce management
