About the Role
We're looking for a commercially minded Merchandiser to join our Trading team and play a key role in optimising product performance across our store estate.
As a Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for creating and managing planograms that maximise sales, profitability and customer choice. Working closely with Trading, Supply Chain, Retail and other business functions, you'll use data and insight to ensure products are ranged effectively and space is allocated in the most commercially beneficial way.

What You'll Be Doing
- Creating and maintaining accurate, customer-focused planograms across assigned product categories.
- Analysing sales, profit, waste and stock performance to optimise space allocation.
- Ensuring product ranging and distribution reflect customer demand across different store formats and regions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve sales performance and maximise return on retail space.
- Supporting category reviews, range change and product exit plans.
- Working collaboratively with Trading, Supply Chain, Retail, Marketing and other key stakeholders.
- Providing recommendations based on category and space performance data.
- Supporting new store openings, refits and format development projects.
- Ensuring all stores are accurately ranged and updated in line with business requirements.
- Conducting regular store and competitor visits to gain market insight and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Helping minimise unnecessary workload for store teams through effective planning and execution.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a retail merchandising, space planning, category management, or similar analytical retail role.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate commercial recommendations.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial awareness with a customer-focused mindset.
- GCSE-level education (or equivalent) and a strong willingness to learn and develop.
