Key responsibilities
- Maximise profit: Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers. Play an active role in your store to “sell a £1 & save a £1” to help drive sales. Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
- Engage, develop & retain great people: Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store. Support team engagement in your store. Play a part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best. Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your own knowledge to support up‑skilling the team.
- Doing the right processes and doing them right: Complete any actions set for you by your line manager on the back of the daily floor walk focusing on what the customer sees. A positive approach to service, both in store and at the doorstep always aiming to be the best place to shop. Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes. Play your part in providing the best digital service through implementing all “One Best Way” processes.
- Leadership: Your leadership approach should be at the heart of everything you do, to get the best from your team to give the best to our customers: Love your customers by being approachable. Required skills & experience
- Experience in a retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential.
- Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
- Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
- Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
- Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.
