Monday to Friday 0800 to 1700 with flexible working hours. 60 minutes unpaid lunch
Salary: £24,500.00 Initially (at age 21)
Holiday: 22 paid days per year + bank holidays
Additional: Company clothing, PPE, tools supplied and training (working towards Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with F-Gas qualification).
Responsibilities
- A Workshop assistant is required for our busy, expanding refrigeration company and will be based at our workshop at Totton.
- The focus will be:
- Carrying out workshop repairs on refrigeration equipment
- Keeping track of stock and preparing stock packages for Service Engineers
- Preparing equipment for Service Engineers
- Visiting customers sites to assist Service Engineers
- Collecting and returning refrigeration equipment to customer sites
- As part of a small team there is a general level of additional support required for your colleagues.
- On the job mechanical, electrical and refrigeration training will be provided.
Candidate Requirements
- Good Maths and literacy skills.
- Good manual dexterity and practical tools use skills.
- IT literate.
- Calm under pressure.
- Excellent communicator across all colleague levels.
- The role will be fast-paced and challenging therefore you must have an adaptable and flexible attitude and approach, be prepared to work alongside your team and be driven to achieve a high level of service.

External training: Mechanical, Electrical, F-Gas Cat1 with hydrocarbon certificate, Health & Safety and manufacture specific (Manitowoc, Cornelius, Follett etc).
