Icebrg is a London-based wealthtech startup building a next-generation Platform-as-a-Service for modern investment managers. Our cloud-native, API-driven platform integrates custody, trading, portfolio management, reporting, and compliance workflows into a unified, institutional-grade solution. With live connectivity to Saxo Bank, Addepar, and a broad ecosystem of API-based services — including client KYC/AML, market data providers, and more — Icebrg enables scalable, compliant operations for investment managers, wealth advisors, and multi-family offices. We work in a joint venture with an FCA-regulated partner in the United Kingdom.
The platform is functionally mature and built to serve the full operational complexity of a regulated investment management business. We are now at an inflection point: the product works, the architecture is solid, and we are ready to grow our client base. This is an early-stage opportunity to join as a founding commercial hire and shape the go-to-market strategy from the ground up.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior B2B Sales Manager or Director to lead and execute Icebrg’s commercial strategy. You will be responsible for building and managing our sales pipeline, identifying and engaging prospective clients, and closing partnerships with investment managers, wealth advisors, independent financial advisors (IFAs), and multi-family offices. This is a senior individual contributor role at an early stage of the business: you will be the primary commercial force, working directly with the CEO, COO and CTO. You will define how Icebrg is positioned and sold in the market, and your work will directly determine our growth trajectory. The right candidate will be comfortable operating with autonomy, building processes from scratch, and representing a technically sophisticated platform to a demanding, institutional audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the end-to-end B2B sales cycle: from prospecting and pipeline development through to commercial negotiations and contract close.
- Identify, target, and engage prospective clients across investment managers, wealth managers, IFAs, multi-family offices, and related institutional segments.
- Develop and maintain a structured sales pipeline, with clear visibility of stage, probability, and expected timelines.
- Lead senior-level client conversations, delivering compelling demonstrations of the Icebrg platform and articulating its value proposition with credibility and precision.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with decision-makers and senior stakeholders at target firms.
- Contribute to the definition and continuous refinement of Icebrg’s go-to-market strategy, pricing model, and commercial positioning.
- Represent Icebrg at industry events, conferences, and forums to build brand presence and generate qualified leads.
- Gather and relay market and client feedback to the product and engineering team to inform platform development priorities.
- Work closely with the CEO to report on pipeline health, commercial performance, and strategic opportunities.
Your Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- 5+ years in a senior B2B sales or business development role, with a proven track record of closing complex deals in financial services technology.
- Deep familiarity with the institutional wealth and investment management landscape: investment managers, wealth managers, IFAs, DFMs, multi-family offices, or similar.
- Strong understanding of investment management operations, including portfolio management, trading, custody, reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and to navigate complex organisational buying processes.
- Experience selling platform-as-a-service, SaaS, or technology infrastructure solutions into regulated financial services firms is a strong plus.
- Consultative sales approach: you understand the client’s operational context and can articulate how a technical platform solves real business problems.
- Self-starter with strong commercial instincts and the ability to operate independently in an early-stage environment where processes are still being built.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Existing network within the UK wealth and investment management industry is a significant advantage.
Qualifications: degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline preferred; relevant industry qualifications (e.g. IMC, CFA, Diploma in Financial Planning) are a plus.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary + performance-based commission structure.
- Equity options allocation: the opportunity to share in the long-term value you help create.
- Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
- A founding commercial role with direct access to the CEO, COO and CTO, and real influence over the direction of the business.
- The chance to build the sales function of a next-generation wealthtech platform at an early and defining stage.
