Security Software Engineer – Threat Modeling
This isn’t your typical red-team or pentest role. We’re looking for an experienced Security professional who can bridge the gap between world-class software engineers and the security team.
You won’t be spending your days writing exploits or cranking out endless code reviews. Instead, you’ll be:
- Partnering with engineering teams to ensure secure design decisions are made early.
- Acting as a trusted consultant to developers, speaking their language and helping them build security into products from the ground up.
- Assessing and threat modeling third‑party tools and integrations to ensure external systems don’t expose the firm to unnecessary risk.
To succeed here, you’ll need:
- A background that started in engineering, sysadmin, infrastructure, or DevOps before moving into security.
- The ability to hold your own in coding discussions; you won’t be writing code daily, but you need to be credible and comfortable in a technical environment.
- A broad security foundation across infra, cloud, and application security, with an attacker’s mindset.
- Excellent communication and the ability to context-switch across multiple teams, balancing technical depth with business realities.
- Strong Linux knowledge and scripting ability; fluency in at least one programming language is a plus.
