My client is a highly regarded, global professional services firm looking to bring on someone to take on ownership of their HR function across the EMEA region. This is a key hire within the HR team, offering the opportunity to partner closely with senior stakeholders across a highly skilled professional workforce. The successful candidate will play an integral role in delivering both strategic and operational HR support, critically with employee relations and UK employment law matters.

The ideal candidate will come from a law firm or professional services environment but any HR professional comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high standards environments are strongly encouraged to apply. This role will suit a hands-on HR professional who enjoys partnering with managers, advising on complex people matters and driving a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the UK business
  • Lead and manage a broad range of employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, performance management and absence cases
  • Advise stakeholders on UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and workforce planning activities
  • Partner with senior leaders on people strategy, engagement and talent initiatives
  • Review, update and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities where required
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR reporting
  • Work closely with the wider HR team to deliver key projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure HR processes and practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation

The successful candidate MUST have:

  • Strong employee relations experience, including managing complex cases independently
  • A solid understanding of UK employment law and its practical application
  • Experience partnering with managers and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, commercial and solutions-focused approach
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience
