ICE Clear Europe’s Clearing Risk Department (“CRD”) is seeking a front office junior risk analyst. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic risk team, overseeing and shaping risk management practices at one of the largest futures and options clearing houses globally. The role involves exposure to diverse asset classes and complex risk challenges.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and monitoring market and collateral risks in real-time, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Identifying opportunities for improving risk models, processes, or infrastructure.
- Documenting risk processes, procedures, and models thoroughly.
- Supporting internal and external communications with stakeholders including clearing members and ICE management.
- Collaborating on policy and methodology development with colleagues.
- Conducting project work and thematic or ad-hoc market research on relevant risk topics.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Degree in Business, Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related numerical discipline.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, with an intuitive mindset.
- Knowledge of risk management models and techniques such as VaR, liquidity risk, backtesting, and stress testing (preferred).
- Understanding of financial derivatives like fixed income, interest rates, or commodities (advantageous).
- Team player with collaborative skills.
- Ability to conduct research, analyze problems, and implement solutions efficiently and independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SQL and Python is preferred.
