The Financial Derivatives team is looking to add a team member within the Interest Rates team who will help cement Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) as the leading exchange venue for SONIA, Euribor, ESTR, Gilts, Saron Futures and Options. This role requires a strong candidate to lead business development in the European region primarily, but this can be extended globally, with a focus on buy side institutions.

The successful candidate will focus on the design and execution of a strategy to expand our Interest Rate Derivatives franchise in the European region and further afield. This role spans both Product and Business development, with a focus on SONIA, Euribor, ESTR, Gilts, Saron Futures and Options. This is a customer-facing role and will require strong technical and presentation skills. The role requires an individual with a customer-focused mindset and one that has established strong customer relationships within the Interest Rates Derivatives units of Banks, PTGs, IDBs and global Buyside firms. The successful candidate will have strong applied knowledge of the Interest Rate Derivatives market, with the ability to connect the drivers of transaction volume and the macro-outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, build and execute a strategy to maximize the growth of the Interest Rate franchise across all ICE trading venues;
  • Report to SMT on developing trends in product, market structure and competitors strategy;
  • Systematically review KPIs and adapt product and sales engagement accordingly;
  • Present to our customer universe as product expert on Interest Rate Derivatives;
  • Drive product focused marketing ensuring that our customers get appropriate information;
  • Provide management information for key stakeholders;
  • Advise the ICE ExCo on key product development items relating to Interest Rate Derivatives;
  • Represent ICE at industry conferences;
  • Play a proactive role in teams covering product innovation and design;
  • Work closely and effectively with other stakeholders through ICE in order to deliver new products and services.

Knowledge And Experience

  • Educated to a Masters degree level in a quantitative based subject or equivalent experience;
  • Strong working knowledge of the Interest Rate Derivatives landscape, with strong customer relationships already established with Banks, PTGs, IDBs and European Buyside community;
  • A customer-focused mindset and experience in a role with significant customer interaction is essential;
  • A team player who is comfortable operating in an open environment where opinions are challenged and buy-in for initiative has to be won from peers across the organization, shares knowledge with others;
  • Strong communications skills and ability to communicate effectively with different audience at different seniority levels;
  • Quick learner with strong problem solving and analytical skills who takes accountability for their decisions;
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to challenge decisions;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to see the tasks through;
  • Strong IT skills;
  • Working knowledge of other European language desirable.
