The Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting with the administration and management of ICE Clear Europe’s regulatory relationships and ensuring that ICE Clear Europe complies with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
The Compliance Analyst will assist in the development and implementation of ICE Clear Europe’s risk‑based Compliance Monitoring and Testing Programme. This includes identifying relevant regulations, ensuring controls prevent and detect compliance gaps, monitoring systems of control, and advising on compliance issues arising from current and future plans. The analyst will maintain basic knowledge of regulation and corporate governance best practices, communicate across all ICE groups, and deliver difficult messages when needed.
Responsibilities- Provide analytical, supervisory and administrative support and engage appropriate stakeholders at national and supranational regulators in the UK, EU and US, including tracking, monitoring, and organising initiatives.
- Work with ICE Clear Europe’s business to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Keep abreast of all relevant regulations for regulated clearing activities in the UK, EU and US.
- Assist with the review and implementation of regulatory change in ICEU’s business.
- Undertake thematic compliance risk evaluations and control monitoring/testing as part of the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Programme (CMTP).
- Participate in the enhancement of the CMTP.
- Provide timely advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements and related controls and procedures.
- Manage the administration, collate, and draft briefing notes, regulatory responses and reports related to compliance.
- Work with ICE Clear Europe’s business to integrate regulatory developments into documentation and processes.
- Assess, review and enhance compliance processes to keep them current and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate responses to periodic and ad‑hoc regulatory requests.
- Assist with the administration of regulatory reports and submissions.
- Deliver discrete regulatory processes.
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable compliance experience in the financial services sector (clearinghouse, exchange, other market infrastructure provider, financial services provider or financial market participant).
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT literacy skills.
- Ability to manage and assist with multiple business priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of clearinghouse operations and applicable regulatory standards.
- CISI certification.
- Experience in building end‑user developed applications (Excel, Access, SQL, etc.).
