A growing technology services business is looking for a Security Practice Lead | Security Solutions Architect to play a key role in shaping the next phase of its security services capability. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who can assess an existing security portfolio, identify what is fit for the future, and help build a stronger, more scalable managed security services proposition. The focus is likely to include vulnerability management, MDR, SOC services, SIEM, and Microsoft-led security offerings across Microsoft 365, Azure, Sentinel and Defender.
This is not a purely advisory role. The successful person will be expected to combine architecture, service development, commercial thinking and practical execution. You will help turn ideas into clear, deliverable services, while also engaging customers in a consultative and credible way.
The business is looking for someone with a strong managed services or managed security services background, who understands how to build scalable, repeatable offerings. There is also real interest in how AI and Generative AI can support automation, efficiency and innovation across managed security services.
What you’ll be doing:
- Review the current security services portfolio and assess what is relevant, differentiated and commercially viable.
- Identify which services should be retained, enhanced, repositioned or retired.
- Help define and build the future managed security services portfolio.
- Shape services across vulnerability management, MDR, SOC, SIEM and Microsoft security.
- Work with internal stakeholders to create clear service definitions, delivery models and supporting collateral.
- Ensure services are technically sound, operationally deliverable and commercially compelling.
- Act as a bridge between architecture, pre-sales, leadership, service teams and customers.
- Engage clients in a consultative way around security maturity, risk and service value.
- Explore opportunities for AI and Generative AI to improve workflows, automation and service innovation.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a Security Architect, Solutions Architect, Security Practice Lead or similar role.
- Background within an MSP, MSSP, Microsoft partner or IT services business.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity services and solution architecture.
- Experience within managed services, ideally managed security services.
- Experience assessing, shaping or evolving a security portfolio, proposition or service catalogue.
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, MDR, SOC services, SIEM, monitoring and security operations.
- Strong Microsoft security expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, Sentinel and Defender.
- Able to combine customer-facing credibility with hands-on delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly desirable:
- Experience developing managed Microsoft security services.
- Experience packaging and refining service propositions for growth.
- Exposure to service automation and operational improvement in security environments.
- Interest in or experience with AI / GenAI in cyber operations or managed services.
Why consider it?
This is an opportunity to do more than advise. You will have the chance to shape services, influence direction and make a visible impact on the growth of an established security capability within a broader managed services organisation.
