An established and growing Environmental Engineering Consultancy is seeking an Engineering Technician to join its multidisciplinary team based in South Devon. With a strong and expanding client base spanning public bodies, utilities and environmental organisations, the business has built an excellent reputation for high-quality, purpose-driven engineering and continues to grow steadily. They have a friendly, close-knit team with a strong culture around personal development and career progression.
It’s a busy time for them with a huge pipeline of work and more on the horizon. They are looking to appoint a motivated 3D Engineering Technician with 3–5 years’ experience in engineering design and 3D CAD modelling. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to develop hands-on design skills while working on technically interesting projects that deliver real environmental benefit. You’ll be supported through mentoring, training and structured career progression within a collaborative technical team.
Key Responsibilities- Producing high-quality 3D engineering models and drawings
- Supporting the design and detailing of civil and environmental engineering structures
- Working with Solid Edge, Revit 3D and/or Rhino 3D software
- Assisting with the preparation of technical drawings and design documentation
- Ensuring designs comply with engineering standards and best practice
- Collaborating closely with engineers, designers and environmental specialists
- Contributing to the delivery of sustainable, buildable engineering solutions
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
- Based in South Devon
- A qualification in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- 3–5 years’ experience using Solid Edge, Revit 3D and/or Rhino 3D
- Good IT skills and willingness to learn new tools and workflows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to technical standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Experience supporting civil, structural or mechanical engineering projects
