Due to successful company expansion, we are recruiting a permanent Estimator to join our work‑winning team. The role reports directly to the Head of Bid Management and involves preparation and pricing of detailed tenders and supporting clients with early contractor involvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Assistant Estimators in the department.
  • Collaborate with the Bid Manager to ensure competitive pricing, agree on methodologies and outputs for key activities.
  • Provide advice on cost‑effective design options and pricing alternative design solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proficient in construction estimating software such as Candy and Causeway.
  • Strong knowledge and commercial awareness of construction contracts such as NEC and JCT.
  • Proven experience in estimating for a Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor in the UK, specialising in infrastructure.
  • Residence within commuting distance of the Swindon office (office‑based opportunity).

  • The permanent opportunity offers a salary package of £68,000 – £72,000 per annum, with flexibility depending on experience and suitability.
