We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our client\’s team in Edinburgh.

The business works on a wide range of detailed structural projects that include conservation of existing buildings, new retail units, large residential developments, educational facilities, hotels, banks and more.

This opportunity will be best suited to a Structural Engineer with around 3 years post graduate experience, working in building structures in the UK or Ireland.

Those with slightly more or less experience should still apply as our client will be flexible to accommodate the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects from conception stage to completion, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout.
  • Undertaking structural analysis and designing solutions for both new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and other team members to develop effective solutions.
  • Preparing technical reports and specifications.
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
